Massive wild fires have struck Southern California this week, burning hundreds of homes and thousands of acres. Ben lives in Malibu where the fires first began on Sunday. Many, many fans have written in to the Official Ben Murphy web site, expressing their concern for Ben's safety. On Thursday, as the fires were finally coming under control, I was able to reach Ben by phone. I felt that fans would want to hear Ben's voice, to know he was really OK, so I asked Ben if I could record our phone call.
